Values

Good Ground aims to create and support an environment that allows freedom of creativity, expression, and communication, but not at the harm or alienation of others. Everyone has the right to feel safe and included at Good Ground regardless of their sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, national origin, race, gender identity, age, ancestry, culture, gender expression, size, family status, religious beliefs, or affiliations.

Code of Conduct

No one should feel unsafe, unwelcome, or uncomfortable at our events. Make new friends, but listen and honor each other’s space, boundaries, and words. Keep consent at the forefront of your actions, here, there, and everywhere. Good Ground holds a zero-tolerance policy for any harassment, abusive, or discriminatory behavior. Such behavior includes but is not limited to, physical or sexual assault, homophobia, racism, transphobia, sexism, ableism, ageism, cultural appropriation, fatphobia, unsolicited touching or attention, and violence. Engaging in such behavior is grounds for immediate removal from a Good Ground event.

Look after yourself, friends, and others. Drink water, take breaks, and have a good time.

Support

If you need support, assistance, or would like to report an incident at a Good Ground event, please speak to a volunteer, bartender, or staff member. We will do everything we can to mitigate, assist, and respond to a situation. However, we recognize that we do not have the professional expertise or authority to respond to all conflicts but can assist you in contacting the appropriate trained professionals. If you do not feel comfortable speaking to a Good Ground staff or volunteer member, crisis and emergency support contact information is posted below:
